Providence Classical School offers an academic program that develops thoughtful and articulate individuals. From an early age, students recite poetry, master math fundamentals, and learn history in a way that is integrated. As they mature they are challenged with Latin, Logic, and rhetoric which develop reasoning and communication skills that have been lost in our modern kindergarten through 12th grade education.
Students at Providence are engaged in the Great Conversation with authors from before Christ, such as Homer, Plato, and Aristotle to modern writers and philosophers who have influenced the cultures of all generations. The Ideal Providence Graduate will not only possess knowledge about the world, but will be prepared to think creatively and thoughfully about all subjects. Because students learn subjects as part of an integrated whole, they are encouraged to make connections that bear fruit in all areas of life.
Classical education is a philosophy of education that pervades every area of study. This philosophy is not new, but rather a renewal of the lost tools of learning that have shaped many of the greatest minds of history. At Providence and in many similar schools, classical Christian education is proving to bear fruit as displayed through high SAT and ACT scores, but even more in our graduates' ability to meet the challenges of college and beyond. While much can be learned through this website, the best way to get a taste of this excellent model is to visit our school. To schedule a visit, please click on contact us.
