Madrigal Choir

So, what's a madrigal?  Traditional madrigals are songs from the Renaissance period that are typically performed without instrumental accompaniment.  The PCS Madrigal Choir is a select choir for grades nine through twelve. This group will perform a wide assortment of sacred music including psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, classical works, spirituals, as well as Medieval and Renaissance secular literature. The full scope of the repertoire engages the singers with lyrics in Latin, Italian, Hebrew, English, French, German, and Spanish. The choir will sing a cappella or with other ensembles. Participation is by audition.
