Providence Classical School is a classical Christian school in northwest Houston currently serving 370+ students in grades PreK through 12. Full-Time Positions

If interested in applying for the 2022-2023 school year see below for more information. For teaching positions, all qualified candidates should have at least a Bachelor’s degree and relevant classroom experience.

Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten Teacher Aide
The teacher’s aide will take instructions from Pre-K and K teachers but may also need to teach or plan an activity. The aide will need to love working with children, display orderliness of self and classroom, take direction well, and enjoy learning right alongside the students. This person would need to be willing to submit to the school administration and the values of the school as well as to the lead teacher. Enthusiasm for this age and a servant’s heart needs to be apparent. The applicant must be a believer in Christ, adhere to the PCS Statement of Faith, and support the mission and values of Providence.

PE Teacher for Grades Pre-K through 8th
Providence Classical School is seeking a PE teacher for the Grammar School and Logic (7th-8th grade) students. The teacher will work in conjunction with our female PE teacher to train students in physical fitness and athletic skills, enhance their motor skills, and help students to see their bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit. This teacher should have a love of Christ, a love of their students, and a love of classical Christian education. This is a full-time position.

Upper School Mathematics Teacher
Providence is seeking full-time mathematics teachers with experience in Geometry and Algebra, including Algebra II. Positions are available at teaching various levels from 7th through 12th grade. The ideal math teacher will possess a love for learning, a love for God’s word, and a passion for teaching our students in a distinctly classical and Christian community. Classroom teaching experience in a classical Christian school is preferred.

Part-Time Positions

Extended Care Team Members
Providence Classical is seeking team members to staff the PCS Extended Care program for students after the school day. Individuals should love Christ and be excited to work with students in a variety of grade levels. This role involves both supervising students and organizational tasks necessary to run the program.

Athletics

Providence Classical School is seeking passionate and qualified coaches. Applicants should possess a credible and vibrant Christian testimony that clearly demonstrates a relationship with Jesus Christ. Applicants should also fully support the school’s mission, statement of faith, and be excited about classical Christian education. Substitute Positions

Substitute teachers should have a love of Christ, a love for students, and a love of classical education. The substitute must be able to provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans, create a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students, maintain a safe and orderly environment, maintain the routines of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned, maintain a professional appearance, and take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the students.
