Grammar School Teachers – Grades Kindergarten – Sixth
Grammar Teachers, Grades K-6: The ideal grammar teacher will have an infectious love of learning, which he or she will demonstrate to the class each and every day. Grammar teachers typically teach an array of subjects, including (but not limited to) Bible, reading (learning to read in grades 1-3, reading to learn in grades 4+), math, history, literature, science, and writing. The spiritual maturity to weave all of these “subjects” together into an integrated whole, with Christ always at the center, is a must, as are good communication skills (both speaking and writing). Classical Christian experience, as well as the ability to coach a sport or lead an after-school club, is a plus.

A music teacher at PCS seeks to cultivate in students a love for music through integrating music theory, history, and both instrumental and vocal practice into instruction. A bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience working as a fine arts teacher with sound musical knowledge and the ability to interpret and perform various styles of music is required.
Upper School Humanities and Rhetoric I
